Kuddelmuddel | Higgledy-piggledy

Mein Leben enthält gerade mal wieder ausgesprochen interessante Aspekte. Vielleicht werde ich ja alt, irgendwie finde ich Sachen, die immer wieder passieren, auf einmal anstrengend und blöd, gleichzeitig sitze ich da mit einer gelinden Blasiertheit da, schaue mir die diversen Spektakel an und bin mal wieder bei "Ach Gottchen". Dennoch kann ich mich nicht dran gewöhnen, dass das Leben einem manchmal einen ordentlichen Puff versetzt. 

My daily life contains again some very interesting aspects. Maybe I'm getting old, I deem most regular things stupid and arduous. At the same time I'm sitting here with a slight smugness, look at the diverse ruckusses and I'm again back at "oh lordy!" However I'm not able to get used to the fact that life sometimes really kicks you.

Jedenfalls kann ich wieder mal nur dem Universum und allen Gottheiten danken, dass ich mit einer gewissen Beobachtungsgabe ausgestattet bin, die mich befähigt, auch meine eigenen Reaktionen anzuschauen und über das zu lächeln, was ich sehe. Und dass das Strickzeug und die abendlichen Bücher schön sind und helfen, Schmerzhaftes, Ärgerliches und Aufreibendes in schöne, kleine Maschen zu gießen, die irgendwann mal mir oder jemand anderem Freude und Wärme bereiten.

Well, all I can do is again thank the universe and all the gods within it, that I'm blessed with a power of observation that enables me to even look at my own reactions and smile at what I see. And I'm also blessed with knitting and books in the evening that help form painful, annoying and exhausting stuff into beautiful little stitches, which at some point give joy and warmth to me or somebody else.

So kryptisch das jetzt klingt, kann ich nur so viel sagen: Irgendwas meints grade nicht so richtig gut mit mir. Im Moment weiß ich noch nicht so recht, obs die astrologischen Aspekte, Gott im Himmel oder nur mein höchst irdisches Vorgesetztensystem ist. Die Beurteilung dieser Frage bewahre ich mir auf, bis ich aus dem Durcheinander raus bin.

As cryptic as this all may sound now, all I can say is this: Something within the universe doesn't wish me well. At the moment I'm not sure whether it's the astrological aspects, God in Heaven or simply my very earthly superiors. I reserve judgement on this questions for a time when I've escaped the jumble. 

Okay, dann also ein bisschen Durcheinander im Schnelldurchlauf:
Okay, so it's a bit of my mess in short order. 

1. Wenn man das Ansprechen unangenehmer Dinge aufschiebt, wird es nur schlimmer.
1. If you procrastinate talking about unpleasant things, it'll only get worse. 

2. Wenn man unangenehme Dinge anspricht kanns manchmal peinlich werden.
2. If you do talk about unpleasant things, it sometimes is embarassing.

3. Vor allem dann, wenn man übersehen hat, dass eigentlich nichts Unangenehmes passiert ist. 
3. Escpecially in a situation, where you overlooked that in fact nothing unpleasant happened.

4. Wenn man nur ein Strickstück in Arbeit hat, geht das schneller.
4. If you stick to knitting just one project, this will make faster progress. 

5. Das eigene Unrecht wird nicht weniger, wenn man anderen Fehlern vorwirft.
5. One's own injustice won't diminish by accusing the opposite with his faults.

6. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich enger anliegende Teile leiden kann.
6. I'd never have thought that I liked sweaters with no ease. 

7. Wertschätzung ist ein hohes Gut. Ich dachte nicht, dass ich das mal so gut brauchen könnte.
7. Esteem is something very valuable. I'd never have thought I could appreciate it that much.

8. Ich glaube, ich bin eine gute Beraterin, wenn auch etwas hingebungsvoll.

9. Manchmal können die Dinge so einfach sein. Ein Oberteil kriegt Form durch gezielt platzierte rechte und linke Maschen. Ein freundliches Lächeln macht die Welt hell.
9. Sometimes things can be really simple. A sweater gets its shape by purpusefully placed knit and purl stitches. A friendly smile makes the world bright. 

10. Ich mag auch weite, kuschlige Jacken.

11. Die Jacke aus Nr. 6 wird durch das Waschen größer.

12. Die Jacke aus Nr. 10 hat überall dieselbe Farbpartie.

13. Manchmal ist es damit wie im richtigen Leben: Die dunklen Stellen erhalten erst eine Ordnung, wenn sie im Gesamten angeschaut werden.
13. Sometimes this is like in real life: The dark patches only become part of a higher order, if you look at the big picture. 

14. Ich mag das Große Ganze anschauen.
14. I like looking at the big picture.

15. Die rote Jacke kriegt noch einen Bouclekragen und ein angequiltetes Innenfutter.
15. The red cardigan will receive a Bouclé collar and quilted lining.

16. Vielleicht geht es ja darum: Die Dinge so anrichten, dass man möglichst gut damit lebt.
16. Maybe that's the whole point: arrange the suff in a way you can live with it in the best possible way.

17. Ich bin fest entschlossen, genau das zu tun.
17. I'm determined to do exactly that.
