Der erste Post ... / This first post ...

... is quite outdated. In may last year I didn't know, whether or not I wanted such a Blog. I doubted that I'd hang in blogging (and knitting). It didn't really start knitting anyway until September, from then until Christmas I finished about 22 knitted Items. No idea how that happened.

Now I'm getting used to blogging and after having locked it for quite a while I will make it free for the public. That's why I had to rework the first post, this still being more than half a year old (now we have end of january 2009).

I'm very much looking forward to people reading this blog and hopefully like my adventures and missadventures. Also comments are gladly taken (I will have to see whether I'll have to moderate them to keep out spam-bots, but I won't censor, promise!). Mostly I would like to achieve to write a blog I myself would like to read. Tolkien and C.S.Lewis attempted this and they succeded. I'm still practising ... and I won't restrict myself to knitting stories, since besides knitting there is my life and this a good one.

A few words on the English translation: Having read knitting blogs for quite some time now I believe it important to provide the blog posts also in English and I give my very best to achieve this. The only exception will be a weekly question being asked by a German forum. If I answer this, then only in German. You can check easily: If the title is just in German, then there won't be a translation (hrm, with the exception of bilingual posts, where I forgot to also translate the title).

And If I make mistakes then they prove that I'm a mortal woman who sometimes just fails ;-)

Finally the legal issue: Herewith I confirm that this weblog is private and not commercially used. Therefore no adress is given. Questions can be mailed to nanika(dot)bayliss(aaa)gmail(dot)com. Having carefully assessed the links given in this blog I distance myself nevertheless from the contents given there.
