Fife fertig | Fife finished

Oberteil Nr. 8 dieses Jahr ist fertig. Fife für Erwachsene ist gewaschen, die Fäden sind vernäht, ich habe ihn probiert, er passt und gefällt (okay, vielleicht werde ich die Ärmel etwas kürzer machen, aber das sehe ich erst nach einer Weile Gebrauch).

Sweater N° 8 for this year is done. Fife for adults is washend, the ends are darned in, I tried it on, it fits and I like it (well, I may have to shorten the sleeves a bit, but I will decide on this after a bit of using it.

Das Garn war Mirasol Tupa und ich könnte Katia einen schönen Gruß hinterherwerfen, dass ich keinerlei Verständnis dafür habe, dass sie dieses unglaublich großartige Garn aus dem Programm genommen haben. Abgesehen davon, dass Mirasol eine richtig gute Initiative ist, produzieren die auch ein großartiges Garn. Ich weiß, ich kriege das auch anderswo, aber ich wollte wenigstens gesagt haben, dass mich das richtig, richtig ärgert.

The yarn is Mirasol Tupa (wool silk blend) and I would very much like to give Katia a hearty greeting, telling them I can't understand at all why they removed this gorgeous yarn from their programme. Apart from the Mirasol being a great initiative, they produce wonderful yarn. I know I can get it elsewhere, but I would really really like to stress that I'm absolutely annoyed with this decision.

Jedenfalls Fife. Ich habe ja ein bisschen daran verändert, statt 2x2 Bündchen ein anderes gemacht (zwei linke Reihen, eine rechte Reihe, dann zwei Reihen 2re2li, danach zwei Reihen 2li2re,das wiederholen, danach zwei Reihen 2re2li, eine Reihe re, 2 Reihen li). Außerdem habe ich den Ärmel bis runter gemustert. Mir gefällt das gut.

Well, it's Fife. I changed a bit, instead of 2x2 ribbing I did something else (two rows purl, one row knit, two rows k2p2, 2 rows p2k2, repeat those for rows then one more row k2p2, one row knit, two rows purl). I also knitted the sleeve in all pattern. I like that a lot.

So sieht der Ärmel von unten aus. Ist das nicht großartig? Sollte eigentlich auf dem Arm sein, nicht unter dem Arm. Naja, vielleicht das nächste Mal. 

This is how the sleeve looks at the lower side. Isn't that great? It should be on top of the sleeve. Well, maybe next time.

 Auch die Sattelschulter finde ich gelungen. Die rechte Masche ist ein bisschen labberig, da müsste ich das nächste Mal etwas mehr experimentieren, um das zu vermeiden. Insgesamt ein gelungener Fischerpulli.

I also like the saddle shoulder. The knit stitch is a bit sloppy, I would have to experiment next time to avoid that. All in all its a fine fisherman's sweater.

Verbraucht habe ich ziemlich genau 700 Gramm.

I used quite exactly 700 grams.

So, als nächste Projekte muss das T-Shirt aus Karen Noe Leinen fertigwerden, dann werde ich im Urlaub ein feines Fake Fair Isle Projekt anschlagen und schauen, wie weit ich komme. Außerdem ist jetzt noch "Anne of Cleves" dran aus "Tudor Roses". Genug zu tun also, damit mir nicht langweilig wird.

Well, the next project to finish will be the Karen Noe Linen Top, then I will cast on a fine Fake Fair Isle project and see, how far I'll get during holidays. Also Anne of Cleves out of Tuder Roses will be one of the next projects. All in all enough to do, so I won't get bored.
