This is going to be a new tag: Every now and then somebody writes me asking details about things I knit. So far I answered by email, now I think this could be something others are interested also. So, if you have any questions, feel free to ask via mail or comment and I'm happy to answer what I can answer.
Die Frage diesmal ging um die Jaywalker-Socken. Durch das Muster sind die gerne mal ein bisschen eng um den Spann und jemand fragte, wie mal die strickt, so dass die Socken über die Ferse gehen.
This time we deal about jaywalker-socks. The pattern make them easily a bit tight at the instep. Somebody now asked, how you can manage that you are still able to pull them around the heel.

I knitted jaywalkers twice, pictures are shown here again. The boumerang-heel didn't work out to well, it's just too tight for the pattern. That's why I knitted the heel with heelflap und gusset. I did the heelflap in jaywalker-pattern, which gives it a nice shape. Also it is a bit longer than usual, about four rows. So I get more stitches at the end of the heel, which makes a sufficiently broad gusset. With this putting the socks on doesn't make problems.
