Tunika fertig | Tunic finished

Kurz vor dem Geburtstag habe ich die Tunika fertiggestellt. Mir gefällt sie, jetzt muss die Empfängerin sie noch mögen - und sie muss passen. Bin sehr gespannt, es ist doch immer ein kleines Risiko, etwas in einer komplett anderen Größe als der Vertrauten mit nur einer Anprobe zu stricken (danach musste ich den gesamten oberen Teil und das Taillenbündchen nochmals machen) und zu hoffen, dass das Ding irgendwie passt.

Obwohl das Ganze fast nur aus glatt rechts besteht, gab es doch so viel, was mich fesselte, dass das Stricken Spaß gemacht hat. Nicht zuletzt die Tatsache, dass ich selbst sowas einfach nicht tragen kann, aber gerne sehe.

Just in time for the birthday I finished the tunic. I like it. What's remaining is the hope that the recipient will like it also - and that it fits. We'll see, after all it's a bit risky to knit something in a completely different size than the most known with just one try-on (I had to frog the entire upper part and the waist ribbing) because of that) hoping that this will work out.

Although almost the entire garment is in stockinette stitch, there was enough going on to make knitting fun. Not least the fact that this kind of garment doesn't fit me at all, but I like to see it.
