Umentschieden / Changed my mind

Es gibt doch einen I-Cord-Abschluss. Das mit den Häkelschnüren hat mir nicht so gut gefallen, daher I-Cord. Hat den Vorteil, dass ich nicht immer drei rechts zusammenstricken kann, sondern je nach Position der drei Maschen entweder 2 rechts abheben, eine stricken, zwei drüberheben, oder eine abheben, zwei zusammenstricken, abgehobene drüberziehen kann.

Nachteil der Methode ist, dass ich vermutlich den Rest des Abends abketten werde, weil ich ja so mörderviele Maschen habe (am Ende irgendwas um die 600) und zwischen den Abnahmen ja jeweils 8 Reihen I-Cord stricken muss. Das ist es mir aber wert, die Schlaufen haben mehr Stand und passen besser zum Rest des Tuches.

Dieses allerdings wird riesig, das kann ich schon jetzt sehen. Irgendwie fürchte ich immer, dass das Ding zu klein wird, und kriege dann einen Schock, wenn ich abkette. Hier ist es aber in Ordnung, durch die sehr dünne und nachgiebige Centolavaggi kann man selbst solch ein Tuch gut um den Hals schlingen (was ich eh eher selten mache).

Achso, noch ein Tipp für Chart B: Reihe 17 zeigt eine Raute und ein Rechteck und die Erklärung dazu scheint mir ein bisschen kryptisch. Meine Lösung war, ganz am Anfang der Reihe bei dem Rechteck zwei statt drei zusammenzustricken und ganz am Ende der Reihe bei der Raute zwei überzogen zusammenzustricken. Vor und nach der Mitte spielte das keine Rolle, da habe ich ganz normal durchgestrickt und es hat gepasst.

Dann bis bald also und drückt die Daumen, dass ich genug Puzzlematten zum Spannen habe, örks.

It will be an I-Cord-bind off after all. I didn't like the crochet chains. The advantage of this method is, that I can employ different ways of knitting three stitches together, depending on the position of these stitches.

Downside of this method is that I most probably will spend the rest of this evening binding off. I've got about 600 stitches and between the decreases there are eight rows of I-cording. It's worth the effort, the I-cords are firmer than the crochet chains and are better matched to the rest of the stole.

The latter will be humongous, as it seems. Somehow I'm always afraid that the thing will be too small and get a solid shock when binding off. Here it is not a problem, since due to the thin and soft Centolavaggi it's still possible to wrap it around one's neck - which I hardly do ever anyway.

Oh, and here's a hint for Chart B: It shows in row 17 a diamond and an oblong. The explanation for these seemed a bit cryptic to me. My solution was to k2tog only at the absolute beginning of the row at the position of the oblong and ssk at the absolute end of the row at the position of the diamond. Don't bother about any around the centre stitch. This worked out fine for me.
