Mal wieder Unfertiges / Work in Progress again

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder gibts einen Überblick über das, was ich grade auf den Nadeln habe. Ich hätte ja gerne einen zweiten Post mit "Fertig" gemacht, allein, das "Fertig"-Teil hat noch ein bisschen was zu tun, wie wir sehen werden. Puh, das wird heute!

After quite some time there is the Sunday evening overview on the projects I'm working on. I'd have loved to make a second post with "finished object", still the "finished"-thing is not quite finished, as we will come to see. Well, I have to warn you, it will be quite a lot today.

Buttercup-Tunika: Damit fange ich an, weil diese Bilder am Furchtbarsten sind (musste blitzen, weil dunkel). Das hab ich bei Irisine gesehen und wusste, die Katia Liana aus meinen Vorräten passt da wunderbar. Also hab ich das Ding am 5. März angefangen und immer in den Dakota-Pausen gestrickt. Das ging Gottseidank sehr schnell, ich bin halt keine so arg große Freundin von langen glatt-rechts-Strecken. Nun isse aber im Prinzip fertig.

Im Prinzip. Das Problem ist das Bündchen unten. Das hat auch das Feather-and-Fan-Muster und wölbt sich nach außen. Bei Irisine sieht das gut aus, die ist auch ungefähr halb so viel wie ich. Bei mir sieht das furchtbar aus. Und das ist schon der zweite Versuch, der dritte wird einfach ein kraus-Rechts-Abschluss und gut. Witzig, das ist mein weitester Ausschnitt in Jahren. Mal sehen, ob ich das trage. Ich hab noch so alte Unterhemden mit Spitzeneinsatz, die müssten da gut passen.

Buttercup-Tunic: I'm starting with this, because I want to quickly skid over the really bad pictures. (I had to use flash, since it is evening here). I saw this at Irisine's and knew exactly that the Katia Liana out of my stash would be perfect for it. So I started on May 5 and knitted, whenever I needed a break of Dakota. Thank God it was quick knitting (size 5mm as wished) since I do not appreciate very much lengthy stocking stitch knitting. Not it is done in principle.

Well, in principle. The problem is the lower ridging. It also has a sort of reminder of the feather-and-fan-pattern and is bending outwards. You can see that better at Irisine's. It looks good there, after all she's about half the size of me. Mine looks awful. And this is the second attempt, the third will be a simple garter stitch finishing and done. And this thing has the widest nickline in years. Let's see whether I dare wear it. I've got still some shirts with lace neckline. They should fit well.

Secondo-Pulli: Diesen habe ich schon im letzten Sommer angefangen und jetzt wieder aufgenommen. Das Muster ist aus einer alten sandra, immerhin gabs da schon den Euro, ähem.

Der wird glaube ich auch ganz hübsch, allerdings hab ich noch nie mit einem Garn gestrickt, das einfach vom Knäuel fällt. Es ist mit einem Gummi befestigt, den man natürlich zum Stricken abmachen muss, dann fällt das Garn einfach runter. Auf dem Gestrick ist es erstaunlich fest, aber nur deshalb, weil ich es nochmals um den kleinen Finger schlinge, sonst würde es mir aus den Händen flutschen.

Secondo Sweater: I started this last summer and resumed knitting it now. The pattern is out of a quite old German knitting magazine. Still, in there is mentioned the Euro after all, so it can't be older than ten years.

I think this will also be beautiful, but I've so far never knitted a yarn with just falls off the skein. It is tied with a rubber band, which of course you will have to put away when knitting. And then the yarn simply falls off. Knitting is sufficiently, but just because I give it an extra loop around the pinkie, otherwise it would just slide out of my fingers.

Rosenspalier-Stola: Davon sieht man noch nicht so viel, weil ich grade wieder von vorne angefangen hab, da der erste Versuch noch nicht befriedigend war. Der Name eine wörtliche Übersetzung des Musters, Rose Trellis. Das Ganze ist eine Auftragsarbeit und ich hab einen Heidenspaß damit. Denn ich hatte lediglich die Rahmendaten "Stola und schwarz und jetzt mach was draus" und darf mich jetzt austoben (sicherheitshalber hab ich selbst die Wolle gekauft, ich will ja nicht, dass da jemand was kriegt, das sie nicht möchte).

Also habe ich die Treasury-Bücher von Barbara Walker gewälzt, jede Menge Stolen bei ravelry angeguckt und ausprobiert. Da das Event im Mai ist, für das die Stola sein soll, kann es sein, dass es schon sehr warm oder noch ziemlich kühl ist. Nunja, ich hab mich zusammen mit der Auftraggeberin für Centolavaggi doppelt entschieden, wobei wir dann eher auf die "schon recht warm" Variante hoffen, da das Ganze sehr filigran wird.

Letztlich habe ich mich für das Rose Trellis-Muster entschieden und mache darum herum die Spitzen von der "Faux Russian Stole" aus "A Gathering of Lace". Diese Konstruktion finde ich ziemlich genial: Man schlägt provisorisch wenige Maschen an, strickt die unteren Spitzen quer rüber, nimmt aus dem graden Teil der Spitze die für die Stola und die seitlichen Spitzen erforderlichen Maschen auf, strickt die Stola und am Ende kettet man wieder mit quer gestrickten Spitzen ab bis zum Ende, wo man genau acht Maschen mit Maschenstich verbinden muss. Diesmal ist das Ganze insofern ein bisschen anders, als diesmal der Mittelteil nicht kraus rechter Grund ist, sondern glatt rechts. Sollte sich aber grade spannen lassen.

Rose-Trellis Stole: You can't see an awful lot yet, since I just went back to square one, as the first attempt was not satisfying at all. This is an assignment and I'm having a great lot of fun! I just got the underlying data "stole black and make something beautiful", so I'm free to enjoy whatever I want (for the sake of safety I bought the yarn myself, since I want to leave the decision whether they take it until they see the completed thing).

So I browsed through the Treasury-books of Barbara Walker and lots of stoles at Ravelry and just tried and tried. Since the respective event will be in May, it might be quite warm and quite chilly. Well, we decided for Centolavaggi 2-plied, so we vote definitely for the quite warm option, since the thing will be very delicate.

In the end I decided on the rose trellis pattern with the edging of the "Faux Russian Stole" out of "A Gathering of Lace". I like that construction a lot: You provisionally cast on a few stitches, knit the border sideways, pick up the stitches necessary for centre panel and edging, knit the stole and bind of with the sideways border, at the end of which you weave exactly eight border stitches together. This time it will be a bit different, since the centre panel will be on stocking stitch ground instead of garter stitch. I'm convinced it will turn out well.

Papier-Tasche: Das ist seit langem ein Häkelprojekt. Ich habe gestern das Garn bei Beate gesehen, Katia Paper. Und ich fand, das sieht aus wie ein Strickkorb, also hab ich es mitgenommen - ähm, und natürlich gleich angefangen. Häkelt sich ein bisschen starr, erinnert mich an die Bastfasern, mit denen wir früher geknüpft haben.

Ich hab keine Anleitung, ich hab nur eine Bodenplatte gehäkelt und jetzt gehts mit halben Stäbchen immer im Kreis rum, bis ich oben bin. Da gibts dann irgendeine Klappe und natürlich an der Seite ein paar kleine Fächer, dann noch zwei Trageriemen und gut.


Paper Bag: This is a crochet project, the first in years! I saw the yarn at Beate's yesterday, it's Katia Paper. I thought it looked like a knitting basket, so I bought it and, well, started directly. It's a bit hard to crochet, reminds me of the bast fibres of my youth.

I don't have a pattern, just crochetted a bottom oblong and now I'm making half double crochets until the thing is high enough. Then there will be some sort of flap and some small pockets, two shoulder straps and done.
