Heimweh | Homesick

Today I dutifully made safety copies from the data on my laptop. There I stumbled across my pictures from Guernsey. Those are unbelievably many pictures and I had sorted and commented them still on Guernsey into four walks. I had forgotten that. Now I looked at the pictures and got terribly homesick. I've never had that, to yearn for a corner of the earth I had only walked through for two weeks. And you know it, I'm not at all a great photographer. If I manage to take such pictures, the landscape has to do it for me.

Therefore I'm posting some more pictures, just for sentimentality.  I remember well the feeling I had when taking them.

I christened this tree Finbrethil, this is one of the lost Ent wives of the Lord of the Rings. I'm sure they must have looked like this.

Then I found this sign, which received the name "No really?!".

This pictures shows the "duck pond". Look at the contour of the sea with a bit of distance and you know why.

Then I can offer you a "Post bank". This is the place I used to write my mail.

There is a crazy path, I hope it is visible in this small resolution. Sidles through the mountain and directly takes me to the two following pictures.

Those two following pictures are interval signals. I took a lot of such pictures, since I had to walk down and especially up and took pictures of flowers, whenever I needed time to regain my breath.

And finally there are two pictures from the corner, I always got lost to. Whenever I lost my way, I could take a rest there. I knew at most half an hour or an hour after getting lost I would reach Grandes Roques.

Well, seems I quite desperately want to go back there, right? I do and I will. And then I'll be sitting on this bench and watch the world from a fine small place, with some needles and yarn in hand, maybe with a book - or maybe with nothing at all.
