Thermal - endlich / at last!

So, nun bin ich in den letzten Zügen von Thermal. Vorderteil linke Seite fertig gemacht, Ausschnittbündchen fertig gemacht (da muss ich die Abkettreihe etwas stärker anziehen, sonst falle ich bestimmt aus diesem sehr prominenten Ausschnitt raus), Ärmel angesetzt, zweiter Ärmel angesetzt. Ich stricke die Ärmel direkt mit an, das kommt wirklich gut. Der erste passt wunderbar und den zweiten muss ich einfach nachstricken.

Well, Thermal finally draws to an end. Front part left side done, neck edging done (I will have to make the cast-off-row a bit tighter or else I will drop out of this very low-cut thing), knitted sleeve, started second sleeve. I knit the sleeves directly to the body. I like that a lot. The first fits wonderfully and I'll have to just duplicate this.


Ich habe mal Fotos von den Armkugeln von oben gemacht. Ich habe ungefähr einen Zentimeter links vom rechten Markierer begonnen, die Maschen ringsum aufzunehmen. Und dann stricke ich immer hin und her und nehme dabei immer nach der letzten Masche eine der Aufgenommenen auf. Da ich ein bisschen zuviele aufgenommen habe (war beim ersten Ärmel auch so), stricke ich alle paar Reihen zwei der zusätzlichen Maschen zusammen. Ist eigentlich ganz einfach und sitzt sehr gut. Man sieht den Huckel, wo ich mit der Aufnahme begonnen habe, ich finde, das ist sehr okay auch am fertigen Pulli (siehe oben).

I took pictures from the sleeve caps. About half an inch I started to pick up stitches and picked them up all around the sleeve opening. Then I knit flat, taking up an additional stitch at the end of each row. Since I took up a little too many (I did that at the first sleeve also) I occasionally knit two of the picked up stitches together. It's a piece of cake and I like the look. You can see the little hump, where I started to pick up the stitches. To me it looks quite okay at the finished sweater (see above).

Ich hoffe, ich werde zum Wochenende fertig und kann mich dann meinem Uralt-Projekt widmen, einer recht dicken Mohairjacke mit Raglan. Das war noch vor Ravelry-Zeiten, also habe ich den Raglan separat gestrickt, allerdings hat die Raglan-Naht eine Besonderheit: Ich habe vier Maschen Raglan-Naht und die verkreuze ich alle sechs Reihen. Ist zwar bei dem melierten Garn nicht so gut zu sehen, aber da Mohair gerne mal sehr weit wird, fand ich das ganz gut. Fotos folgen, wenn er "dran" ist.

I hope to have this thing finished by the weekend, so I will be able to attend to my oldest UFO, a mohair-cardigan with raglan. I started that long before my knowing of ravelry, so I knitted sleeves and body separate. However the raglan has a speciality: I knit four stitches raglan and cable them every six rows. You can hardly see it with the heathered yarn, but mohair is growing quite a lot, so I thought this a good idea. Pictures will follow as soon as it's its turn.
