Gestricktes | Knitted bits

Ein paar Sachen habe ich natürlich auch gestrickt. Das zeigt nur einen Ausschnitt, im Moment habe ich wieder (zu)viel auf den Nadeln.

Of course I knitted a few things. This only shows some of my present work in progress, it's quite a lot at the moment.

Fertig habe ich | I'm done with

eine Babydecke. Gottseidank. Kraus rechts in Runden mit über 600 Maschen - kein Spaß. Ist aber okay, ich finde das Ding sehr süß.

a baby blanket. Thank goodness! Garter stitch in the round with more than 600 stitches is no fun. Still it's okay, I like the result.


In Arbeit habe ich | I'm working at

Meg-Swansen-Jacke für eine Freundin. Am Körper habe ich aufgehört und mit den Ärmeln angefangen, weil ich das Ganze anders als in der Anleitung in Runden stricken möchte. Macht eine schönere Armkugel.

The cardigan out of Meg Swansen's Knitting. I stopped knitting the body and started the sleeves since I plan to join these in order to have a proper set-in-sleeve.


Katherine Parr aus "Tudor Roses" von Alice Starmore. Oder besser gesagt nicht so richtig Katherine Parr von Alice Starmore, weil ich das Ganze anders stricke als ihr Design. Aber die Grundidee ist natürlich von ihr. Ich nenne es "die Messing-Königin der Insel"

Well, precisely spoken it is not quite Katherine Parr of Alice Starmore, since I'm changing quite a lot (different colours, knitting in the round and much bigger etc.). The basic design however is hers of course. I'm calling mine "the island's brass-queen."

Pullover aus Drops Silke Alpaca. Ich überlege, was ich mache, während ich stricke. An diesem kann ich im Moment nicht weiterarbeiten, weil ich mir das Objekt heimschicken musste. Der Koffer war zu voll und ein Strickprojekt musste weichen.

Sweater out of Silke Alpaca. I'm deciding how to knit as I knit along. This I can't go on with since I had to send some items to myself. The suitcase was too small and one knitting project had to go.
