Es ist GROSS / It's HUGE

Rainbow Pi are Square ist fertig, gewaschen, gespannt und hängt auch jetzt an mir. Sehr kuschlig und gleichzeitig wunderbar farbenfroh. Mein erstes Ajour Projekt. Hat Spaß gemacht und nicht wirklich lang gedauert. Zwei Wochenenden, zwei Abende und das wars, der Rest ist halt Waschen und Spannen.

Was habe ich gelernt? Nunja, vor allem, dass Ajourstrickerei wächst und wächst und wächst. Und dass ich bei Ajourstrickerei vielleicht nicht gerade großes Perlmuster verwenden sollte. Wobei das auch nicht so schlecht war, weil sonst der vordere Teil noch länger geworden wäre.

Rainbow Pi are Square is done, washed, blocked and I'm wearing it right now. Very cozy and very colourful. My first lace project. It was fun to knit and didn't take all that long. Two weekends and two evenings and the rest was washing and blocking.

What have I learnt from this project? Well, my main finding is that lace is growing and growing and growing. And that I shouldn't use moss stich in a lace project. On the other hand it wasn't too bad, because otherwise the front part would be even longer.

Heute war ich übrigens bei Lana in Frankfurt. Ergebnis: Drei Knäuel Noro Wolle für mein übernächstes Ajourprojekt. Das nächste habe ich schon angefangen, das Holzperlentuch aus "Ajour, Lace oder einfach nur Löcher". Das dann mit einfacher Sockenwolle Admiral von Schoppel. Ich möchte probieren, ob ich das mit der Perlenstrickerei kann.

Today I was at Lana's in Frankfurt. The result: Three skeins of Noro yarn for my next but one lace project. The next one is already started, a beaded shawl out of the sock yarn Admiral by Schoppel. I want to find out whether I'm able to knit with beads.
